Upcoming Election
I know, I know a huge no no...but I just read this and I wanted to link it so that I could share with everyone. I know there are a lot of differing opinions to the race for the president, and frankly I'm just ready to have it over with because I'm sick of all the commercials. But I read this and it made me cry. And I think it's so terribly, terribly important....

Kristi,
I absolutely believe in standing up for life--life of all kinds, including those lives lost in the war, innocently, poverty, genocide happening in other countries, etc. etc. etc. Thank you for posting Randy's blog, as I think it's a strong reminder of what we as Christians, and prolifers need to be reminded and aware of. I also believe though, that if we claim to value all of life, not just life of the unborn, then this disqualifies me from voting for McCain just as much as it does Obama. I would challenge anyone reading this to research a bit more on McCain's end--if he's okay with abortion in the case of rape or incest, isn't that devaluing life just as much as any other candidate? If according to Randy's blog, we will be held accountable for voting for someone who is okay with killing babies, than I cannot consciously vote in favor of McCain either, for the same reason I couldn't vote for Obama. Just some food for thought...Heidi :)

Kristi - I go to church with jay and allison, and love your blog. Thanks for this. There is a scale worth looking at. There have been 48million lives lost to abortion since Roe v. Wade. Personally, I agree that the lives lost to rape and incest are also innocent, but the numbers would drop so dramatically ... and I'm willing to vote someone that will give us a good start on the millions ... and be patient for the small remainder. Thanks for the link Kristi.
To me it's trully about how much a candidate is for baby-killing. With Obama there will be more killings of unborn babies. PERIOD.
This dosen't mean that other life isn't as valuable (the poor or war torn), but that the unborn are JUST as valuable.
This was a hard subject to post about but I am greatful that you did.
I guess we'll be pro-life nerds (who vote) together!
Love.

Kristi,
Some thoughts from a daddy. I am not voting for a man in regard to abortion. Abortion, however you look at it, is taking a child and turning them into a blob of tissue. I'm voting for life. Which means the sheer fact that when born alive abortion(ie. infanticide) was put on the table Obama whole heartedly supported it. I choose life and I have to stand before Christ regarding my choices.

Hey Krsiti,
I really admire you for posting this, and I'm so glad I saw it. After reading it I had a nagging feeling about it for several days, wondering if I should post it as well. But then when I did post it, the nagging feeling didn't go away. I absolutely think it is worth showing to the world, but I didn't feel like my family blog was the right platform for showing it off. I'm not sure how that sounds, but there it is. Maybe it's because I couldn't have a dialogue with anyone seeing it, so the website was doing all the talking for me. I'm not sure, but I put a lot thought and prayer into it and just felt more right about taking it down. That said, I think you are courageous for posting it and I am glad you did. I had never thought of this issue in those terms and it was a really humbling eye openner.
Hope that doesn't make me sound like a complete weenie, but there it is.
