Our Girls Turned 2!

Bat exclusion FAIL!

My wife's worst fear, which results in my most dreaded happening, happened. After reassuring my wife that she could not have heard and felt a bat in our room, she again saw what she prayed desperately was a huge moth. Sadly, tragically, it was not. While Kristi shielded herself deep under the covers, I grabbed a towell and trapped the beast as fast ad I possibly could. Had the bat not sqeaked and chirped loudly, I would have considered lying to my wife for the first time. No, I did not spare the ecologically important animal, I instead beat it to a pulp with a metal post pounder. Tomorrow (today), we will consider paying an exterminator whatever it takes... For I have failed in my initial attempt at exclusion. This fear for Kristi is similar to what I would feel waking up covered in large hairy fast spiders. I sure hope she is able to sleep tonight.
