stopping traffic... just wow

I took the boys and girls for a short walk up the road tonight while Kristi was visiting with her mom. When we got up to Col His Hwy, an old vw bug passed, slowed, slowed more and finally pulled over. Then, as if the bug was typecast by 'that 70's show', a really nice lady with a peace sign necklace crossed the street, jaw dropped, hands on cheeks and smiling. I know they're cute... but even this was a first. It gets better. We went another 25 yards or so and turned around. She was still there. This time as we approached she crossed the street again, carrying a camera phone this time. That wasn't a first, but when added to this scenario, made it all the more memorable. "Can I get a photo that I can send to my daughter for birth control?" I was glad Kristi wasn't with me... Her tolerance level would have been busted quite a while ago. She spent literally 4-5 minutes trying to delete a few photos since she was out of space on the phone. Then, with a few kilobytes of space for her much coveted photo, she proceeded to pose us and walk out in the road to get the right shot... After two cars impeded her progress, I finally re-situated so she could take the photo without being in mortal danger. Candace, if you find this blog, please know that I think you are a wonderful, nice lady. I think Triplet dads slowly turn into Charlie Brown. I've been saying good grief a lot lately.
